About Us

Amigear Ventures (Pty) Ltd  started operations on 1 April 2017 when PF Brink (Pty) Ltd and Senior Management entered into a JV agreement and acquired the poultry interests of Bokomo Botswana (Pty) Ltd. The operational activities of the company is focused on the total poultry production value chain in Botswana through wholly owned and various joint venture operations.

  • Notwane Eggs – a commercial egg producing business located in Gaborone and Palapye with a capacity of around 230 000 layers. Notwane Eggs has been in operation for more than 30 years and is the only national distributor of eggs in Botswana with a market share of around 40%.
  • The Notwane Eggs history can be traced back to the early 80’s when both Notwane East Poultry, owned by Mr Derek Brink, and Ace Poultry, owned by Mr Neyler, build modern egg producing facilities in Tlkoweng and Gaborone North respectively. In 1996 Mr D Brink acquired the poultry business of Ace Poultry from Mr Neyler and combined the two operations into Notwane Eggs. The business was sold to Bokomo in October 2003.
  • Richmark Chicken – a broiler growing and processing operation in the Tuli Block near the Moletemane Village. The operation was started in the 70’s by the Kirby family and places around 50 000 birds per week with a market share of around 10%.

Amigear Ventures (Pty) Ltd is always on the lookout for opportunities to further integrate into the poultry production value chain through acquisition or joint ventures. The company is therefore involved in various operations through direct investment to make a contribution towards making Botswana self-sufficient in poultry production inputs. To achieve this we ensure that we work closely with the Ministry of Agriculture and other government stakeholders.

Administration and Sales: the administrative offices are based in Commerce Park in Gaborone from where all admin and sales functions are managed. A competent team of merchandisers are outsourced to Bokomo Botswana and service all national accounts throughout the country.

Employment: about 380 employees are employed by the company on a permanent basis. The vast majority of these employees are employed in rural areas.

It is foreseen that these core activities will be expanded to include other operations in the poultry production value chain to unlock value for the shareholders.
